So, to finish this story (so everyone is warned not to buy from Dell):

The technician was scheduled to be there Saturday after I called them on Friday, to replace the keyboard, fan, and heatsink. I predicted he wouldn't be there until Monday. I'm smarter than the people submitting these work orders. They later prove that conclusively.

The tech shows up with the right orders in hand. Replace the keyboard, replace the fan, replace the heatsink."

What he finds in his box of parts, however, says something totally different:

He finds:

1) A Heatsink
2) An exhaust fan
3) An LCD screen.

Bra-friggin-vo.

so the guy fixes the fan and heatsink, and then plugs the keyboard back in saying "oh, well i guess we'll fix this one later."

turns it on, and surprise every key works! Apparently, the retard that came earlier didn't plug the cable for the keyboard in all the way.

so everything's fixed. I should be happy...right?

One week later.

I'm two tabling razz trying to clear a bonus. When all of a sudden, the AC power cuts off of my laptop. Now apparently, replacing the motherboard was supposed to fix this problem. So clearly, it wasn't the motherboard that was the problem. Clearly, it's the AC adapter itself. Right? Right?

According to Dell, wrong!

They blamed it on pretty much everything but the Adapter, in an effort to avoid replacing it apparently, for whatever reason unbeknownst to me. They blamed it on the new motherboard, the DVD drive, the hard drive, the battery, to me not understanding what electricity is, where it comes from, how it is made, and what it does.

Up until I called him a retard who needed to die in a fire if he was that stupid to actually believe the line of BS he was feeding me, he was refusing to give me a new adapter.
